The design made use of a very tight volume envelope imposed by runway setbacks, FAA guidelines and flood plain development standards. Utilizing a combination of prefabricated steel buildings and traditional steel stud construction, barrel roof elements at the entries, the terminal building and the trash enclosure brought the feel of traditional aviation architecture to the project while blending with the new city terminal next door.
